Thomas Thatcher

Founder & Manager - Executive Board Chair

Tom Thatcher is the founder and manager of Intuitive Funding. He has over 25 years of business experience in the chemical industry. He has a B.A. degree in chemistry from the University of Utah and a MBA from Brigham Young University. He has been involved with many startups providing financial and mentoring support. He was given the distinguished alumni award from the University of Utah for his community service. He also founded a webinar program called “Understanding Science” in corporation with the college of science at the University of Utah.

 

Henry Wurts

Chief Investment Officer & Chief Strategy Officer - Advisory Board Chair

Henry Wurts is an integrated financial, management, and strategic consultant, with over 20 years of experience. In his professional life, he has modeled underlying business risk for both capital budgeting and investment purposes, has evaluated deals for the ultimate investment decision process, and has both presented financial models for validation and provided a vote in the validation process.  In his community life, he has served on various Boards for non-profits, often serving on investment, finance, and audit committees, even serving separately as Board Chair, Finance Chair, and Treasurer.

 

Jared Clayton

Advisory Board Member

Jared Clayton is the CEO of Smart Capital. He has extensive experience in the financial world including being a financial advisor for many years. He has continued to foster large investment deals in the aviation, health and technology industries. Jared is well versed and has great experience in the domain of financial management.

Jim Barlow

Jim Barlow is a veteran in the financial services industry with over 38 years of experience as a financial advisor. During his financial services career, he provided unbiased and independent financial advice to help the families and businesses he served.

In 2017 he sold his financial advisory practice so that he could slow down and spend more time traveling, with hobbies and his family. However, he found out he is not ready to retire and wants to continue to help people and business owners with innovative wealth creation strategies.

Bryan Scott

Bryan Scott is an experienced litigator and transaction attorney whose practice primarily focuses on three areas: complex commercial and employment litigation; corporate and business transactions; and estate planning. Mr. Scott has represented clients in a wide variety of lawsuits including breach of contract, Title VII, employment discrimination, business torts, Lanham Act violations, securities, copyright and trademark infringement, claims for misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information, fraud, shareholder derivative cases and cases regarding corporate dissolutions and mergers. Mr. Scott has been named to Utah’s Legal Elite both for Estate Planning and Employment Law.

 

Kathy Thatcher

Kathy Thatcher is a health professional in the field of nursing with over 40 years experience in the hospital setting. She has served on nursing alumni boards, the Utah Honor Flight board and is currently a volunteer, diabetes and nutrition educator with the Hope Clinic, a free 501c3 clinic which provides care for the uninsured and underserved. She received her BA in nursing from Brigham Young University and a MS in applied nutrition from the University of New England. She is married to Tom Thatcher and they have four children.

 
 

Paul Stringham

Paul Stringham works with Peterson Development Company in Salt lake City, Utah. Paul has the responsibility of overseeing the company’s commercial development and retail brokering activities. He has over 38 years of commercial real estate experience in development, investment brokering and asset management services.  Throughout his career of 37 years with the company he’s been engaged in master planning large commercial projects that include Costco and Walmart. Paul is a Rotarian, engaged in humanitarian service in Cambodia, sits on various advisory boards and loves to ski and cycle. Paul is married and has six children.

 
 

Steve Williams

Steven received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Utah. Since joining Merrill Lynch in 1992, Steven has provided clients with a wide array of financial advice and investment services. He has received the designations: Certified Financial Planner™,a certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM,a certification awarded by the College for Financial Planning®. Steven is married with three children. He stays active in the community by coaching his children's football, basketball and baseball teams as well as with his church.
